Caramel Apple Nachos

These Caramel Apple Nachos are like a caramel or candied apple but with way more toppings and decadence to enjoy. Super simple to make too!

I have been making these Apple Nachos in some shape or form since my kids since they were very small. It is a still a favorite of theirs and I often make it for them to this day. And for myself too because they are so good and I love me some caramel and apple! It’s just one of those flavor combinations that is hard to beat.

I told you that I’ve been making these for many, many years now. Here’s a snapshot of my now 20 year old enjoying these when she was around 9.

I’ve made them a variety of ways over the years and in this picture, there is lots of sprinkles instead of Reece’s Pieces. She’s not much of a peanut butter fan but that child has always loved a pile of sprinkles!

What ingredients do I need to make these Apple Nachos?

It’s such a simple recipe to make, y’all – and one of the beautiful things about it is you don’t have to do it exactly the way that I did or the same way each time either. You can get creative with these and come up with a variety of toppings.

Here’s what we used!

  • About 5 apples, sliced into thin slices (core removed)
  • Caramel – you can use jarred caramel, caramel apple dip from the produce department, make your own caramel (I like to use these caramel bits to make homemade caramel in a pinch!)
  • 16 ounces mini marshmallows
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cups roasted & salted peanuts
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips (or regular sized will work too)
  • Sprinkles, Reese’s Pieces, M&M’s, etc – choose one or use or a combination!
