Cake Batter Candy Bars

Ok – so I know that cake batter flavors are totally out of control popular right now, but I don’t care.  Cake batter is awesome.

Really awesome.

So, how could a cake batter candy bar not be awesome too? (Just so you know, IT IS!)

You probably already have the ingredients required to make it tucked away in your pantry as it is.

You will need 2 tablespoons of vanilla cake mix.  Save the rest of that cake mix.  You can jump on the cake batter wagon & make so much more with it.  Just keep in an air tight container.

Using a whisk or electric mixer, beat the cake mix into the white chocolate. Let cool for a few minutes.  Take the baking sheet out of the freezer & spread the white chocolate/cake batter mixture over top.  Sprinkle on the sprinkles, and press down a little with a spatula.  Stick it back into the freezer for about 20 minutes.

Cut into slices, or just break apart.  Store in the refrigerator to keep it from melting.

Cake Batter Candy Bars

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 3 cups white chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons yellow cake mix
  • sprinkles

Instructions:

Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave for 1 minute, stirring after 30 seconds.  Spread it on a wax paper lined baking sheet.  Stick the baking sheet in the freezer for about 15 minutes, or until set.

Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave on 30 second increments, stirring each time, until melted completely.  Or, if you are like me, melt the white chocolate in a double boiler.  I have terrible luck with burning melting white chocolate in the microwave.

Wow, so easy! I have been in love with cake batter since I first learned to bake. It always tastes so good and now everyone is adding it to things to create that taste. Why did it take us so long. Way fun.
