Back to School Lunches with CVS Abound Snacks

Several months ago while attending BlogHer Food, I fell in love with the new line of snacks from CVS called Abound.  You see, there was a whole darn room devoted to the snacks.  Every wall was filled with what the line had to offer, and I had found my happy place.

The image above was just a snippet of everything the room had to offer.  And, we were allowed to travel among all the areas & collect as much snacks as we wanted.  They may have regretted telling me that because I kept coming back for more!  I seriously loved the flavors so much, and this girl likes to eat too!

The abound line is completely free of artificial preservatives & flavors – and in these days, all that artificial junk is a big concern for a lot of us.  It’s really great to know that with this line, you don’t have to worry about it.  Another fantastic thing about abound is when you look at the ingredients label, you can actually pronounce every single thing on it – and you know what it all is too.  I don’t know about you,but being able to pronounce all the ingredients is a huge plus in my book.  They also contain no trans fat!

But the best thing of all is the flavor.  You can tell me all sorts of great things about the ingredients, but if it doesn’t take good – count me out. The taste is fabulous.  My kids also think it’s fabulous, which is wonderful.  I have gotten my kids completely & totally hooked on abound.

School has recently started back for most of you, and I just knew that this was the time to share this line with you all.  Us parents are looking for healthy & tasty snacks to send off with our kids in their lunchbox like crazy right now.  This line definitely has everything you’ve been wanting & more – and most importantly, they’re kid approved. I want to share with you some of my kids’ favorite abound snacks in hopes that it will help you choose which ones you’d like to send off with your own kids.  Or hog for yourself… because I’m totally down with that 😉

Make sure you stay tuned for the giveaway at the end of this post!

Ok, favorite snacks.  This one is my absolute favorite of all – the Sweet & Nutty Probiotic Trail Mix.  My kids like this one too – but I’ve been known to stash these back in my room from time to time, completely unbeknownst to my kids.

My 4 year old will straight out gank them from me if he sees them though.  Which I suppose isn’t a bad thing – until I get a craving and there’s none left…and then I get all sad & pouty. He calls the raisins coated in the probiotic yogurt ‘yogurt bites’ – and the dark chocolate covered cranberries ‘chocolate bites’. My son, along with myself, aren’t the biggest fans of raisins – but you can’t even tell that you’re eating them.  They seriously taste like dessert.

Next up – the Superfruit Snack Bars & the Superfruit Baobab Bites.  This is an essential for the kids’ lunchboxes! Replace the usual fruit roll-ups & fruit snacks with these – they’re SO much better for them!  They also taste REALLY good!  My kids can’t seem to get enough of either of them.

In fact, they are both tied for my 4 year old’s absolute favorite abound snack.  He would probably eat them all day long if I let him.

Check little man out enjoying one of the superfruit snack bars!  He’s obsessed with them really.

These are the next 3 favorites of my family.  Blueberry Almond Rice Pop Clusters, Cranberry Oat Bran Cookies, & Chocolate & Chia Snack Bars.  All of them are oh-so-good!
