As if chocolate and peanut butter together weren’t the best flavor pairing, with this no-bake pie recipe they’re now mixed into a fluffy, whipped pie form to make the combo even better. And drizzled with hot fudge sauce, this is a dessert that no one can refuse.

Ingredients You Need

Prepared pie crusts: Though you can make your own, grabbing a few from the grocery store is just easier. Plus, you can make this peanut butter pie even more indulgent by using a graham cracker or Oreo based on.

Sweetened condensed milk: You use this to coat the pie crusts to make sure to grab the sweetened one, so the flavors all come together.

Baking staples: You’ll need some basics like vanilla extract, chocolate chips, and milk for this fudge pie to come together,

Cream cheese: The full-fat version will make this dessert taste richer. Let it soften to room temperature before you need it.

Confectioners sugar: If possible, sift your sugar before you need it so that it mixes more easily.

Peanut butter: A creamy peanut butter works best here. I wouldn’t recommend using chunky peanut butter as the texture doesn’t blend into the cream cheese well. Instead, add any texture you want on the toppings.

Whipped topping: if you use a frozen one, make sure it’s thawed before you need it.

Tips For Success

Peanut Butter

Though natural peanut butter is great, it tends to have a grainy texture that doesn’t mix into the cream cheese well. More than just peanut chunks, it leaves the filling almost gritty. Use regular peanut butter instead for a smooth and creamy texture.

Toppings

Though the peanut butter pie is drizzled with hot fudge, you can always add a bit of crunch here if you like. Crushed peanuts or Oreos taste amazing on the top. As does drizzled peanut butter.

Freezing The Pie

This pie recipe needs time to set before it’s served. Which means it can be made the day before you need it. It needs either one hour in the fridge at least for thirty minutes in the freezer. Plan accordingly for that and expect to let it thaw slightly before serving it.

How To Store It

The no-bake pie can be stored in the fridge once it has set. For leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Know that the longer it’s in the fridge, the less crisp and crunchy the pie crust will be.

You can freeze leftover pie for about 2 months. To do this, place it in an airtight freezer container or place an extra pie tin over the top of the pie and wrap the whole thing in both plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Know that there is a lot of dairy in the pie and the texture may not be as smooth once it’s thawed. Let it sit in the fridge overnight before you need it.

Can I use homemade pie crusts?

Of course! Homemade pie crusts will be just as delicious for the peanut butter pie, they just take longer to make. If you know you’re using homemade crusts, whip those up the day before so that they can cool and set completely before making this no-bake peanut butter fudge pie.
