I agree 100% Chris- totally rude people. Some people have NEVER been exposed to any kind of gardening or anything. I hope that these people are never humiliated like this – how unkind must you be that you have to stick your nose into a conversation & make another human being feel stupid who really just wants to learn?

I’m doing the pineapple, just 1, since the other did not give roots. It’s been about 2 months, the waiting game continues. I’ve done the scallions and will start doing those and others as well. Thanks for the ideas.
Does it matter what veggies grow in the cold or heat?

Yes. I grew some. They weren’t “heads” of lettuce-just leaves. So I’d go out to my big planter, cut and clean a fresh salad (adding other goodies from nature!)

Put some vinegar in a spay bottle then spray all around the area where you have ants. This works great. I tried all the poison sprays and they did nothing. The vinegar got rid of them for food. It also works outdoors on ant hills. I just poor it straight into the hill.
