Static Cling is easily gotten rid of with a few foil dryer balls easy too make and inexpensive , I’ve used two or three in the dryer for a long time no static!

I have never had any trouble with spots on my clothes. (I also use a sponge,and wring it out good).

If you’re diluting fabric softener 1/2 & 1/2 with water, why not just dilute it and put it into the fabric softener dispenser? Why go through the trouble of storing a cloth in a container of the mixture? The cloth soaks it up, you wring it out , and you still have to add more softener and water as you use it. Jus’ sayin’….

So I never ever use any kindof fabric softner or dryer sheets on these loads of laundry.

I have problems with Gain and dark or purple colored softeners. Maybe test it on some rags, unwearable clothes, or old towels.
