You are not alone when it comes to mason jar appreciation. I remember finding them in my grandparents attic when I was little, I thought they were wonderful, in an odd way almost sacred. It must have been the history flowing from the glass into my young little hands. I loved the feel of them, from the weight to the raised letters. They didn’t feel like the glass bottles I was accustomed to. I am from the generation before the food grade plastic invasion. I think it is great how the mason jar is no longer considered just for food storage anymore. They have been upgraded to tasteful and homey decor by not just DIYers but by manufacturers as well.
