Fried Pork Tenderloin Sandwich

These Fried Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches are all sorts of delicious and they are SO SIMPLE to make! A family favorite for sure and a personal favorite for busy weeknight meals!

A fried pork tenderloin sandwich is just a fried pork cube steak sandwich. It’s totally simple to prepare but delicious as can be. It’s a family favorite in my home!

Sometimes I go to the extra step of making a milk gravy and serving that on top of it, much like what I’d do with my chicken fried steak… but sometimes just one of these fried pork cube steaks, some mayo (or a lot of mayo, love me some mayonnaise!) , and white bread (Sunbeam, baby!) is just what my tastebuds are craving.

And maybe a little lettuce. I mean,  gotta have your greens somehow 😉

If you would like to make this with gravy and side items instead of a sandwich, just follow the instructions for my Chicken Fried Steak recipe, but substitute the pork cube steaks for the beef ones.

This comes together so quick and beats the socks off of a ham sandwich any day. If a ham sandwich were to wear socks, that is.

Oh look, here’s a video of me making this. One on YouTube and one right below, here on the blog for your viewing (and eating!) pleasure.

Fried Pork Tenderoin Sandwich

Ingredients

  • pork cube steaks
  • all purpose flour
  • seasoned salt
  • black pepper
  • buttermilk or milk
  • vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • This is one of those great 'no recipe' recipes! Start off with your cube steaks, however many you are using. Pour enough flour in a dish to coat your cube steaks. Season the flour with seasoned salt and black pepper. In another dish, pour some buttermilk or milk into it. Dredge the pork cube steaks in the flour mixture, then into the wet mixture, and then back into the dry. Set the coated cube steaks aside for 15 minutes for the flour to 'adhere' to the meat, that way it all stays on during frying. After they have sat for 15 minutes, give them another dredge in the flour and heat enough oil for frying in a skillet. Fry the cube steaks for about 5-7 minutes on each side until done and golden brown.
For the sandwich, I slather mayonnaise on white bread with some lettuce and lay the fried pork tenderloin in between the bread slices. So good!
