Instructions
Bread machine: Combine all the dough ingredients in your bread machine in the order as called for in your owner's manual - which is usually liquids first, then seasonings, then flour, & then yeast.
Stand mixer: In the bowl of a stand mixer with the whisk attachment, whisk the egg yolks, whole egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, butter, and buttermilk. Add 2 cups of the flour along with the yeast and salt. Whisk until moistened and combined. Remove the whisk attachment and replace with a dough hook. Add the remaining flour and knead on low speed for 5 minutes. Knead on low speed 5 minutes more or until the dough clears the sides of the bowl. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured work surface; knead by hand about 30 seconds. Lightly oil a large bowl. Transfer the dough to the bowl, lightly oil the top of the dough, cover and let double in volume, 2 to 2½ hours.
Once your dough is made, roll it out into a large rectangle - about the size of a half sheet baking pan. Combine a stick of softened butter with a tablespoon of garlic powder, and spread the mixture over top of the rolled out dough. Then, spread on your pizza sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese & arrange the pepperoni (or other pizza toppings) on top.
Roll up lengthwise, and slice into 1½-2 inch rounds. Spray 2 round cake pans with nonstick cooking spray, and arrange the pizza rolls inside. They should be very close, but not completely touching.
Bake in an oven preheated to 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Sprinkle with your desired amount of mozzarella cheese; return to the oven just til the cheese has melted. You can also sprinkle a little Italian seasoning on top, if desired.
