Tea Tree Oil: just a few drops added in to the basic aspirin mask recipe will give dry skin a good moisture boost. You can also use olive oil, jojoba oil, or grapeseed oil.
Egg whites: For maximum anti-aging/skin firming, replace the water in this recipe with 1-2 egg whites beaten until fluffy & stiff. Mix the beaten egg whites with the crushed aspirin & apply to your face. (I love this combination, & use it a lot!)
Raw Honey: Raw honey has so many healing properties. It's great for exzema, dry skin, acne, ant-aging, irritated skin, and more. Add 1 teaspoon of raw honey to your aspirin mask to take advantage of all it's healing properties.
Lemon: Do you have sunburn? Adding lemon to an aspirin mask is a great soother for it! Into your aspirin mask paste, add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. To make it extra potent, also add 1 teaspoon of lemon curd and/or olive oil.
Vinegar: To help clear or minimize pores, replace the water in this mask with apple cider vinegar or white distilled vinegar.
Avocado: Add 3 tablespoons of pureed avocado to your aspirin mask to get a whole array full of goodies on your skin. It contains a lot of minerals such as iron, potassium, calcium, sodium, copper, magnesium, etc. It also contains vitamins A, E, B and K. Adding avocado to your face mask reaches the deepest layers of the epidermis and gives elasticity even to the driest skin. You can also add a little raw honey to this concoction. (honey, avocado, & aspirin is my favorite combination!)
Bananas: Bananas are said to have anti-aging as well as moisturizing properties. Add 1 pureed banana to your aspirin mask to take advantage of them.
Olive Oil & Aspirin Exfoliating Scrub: Slightly crush up the uncoated aspirin & drizzle in enough olive oil to make a paste. Scrub your face with it, and rinse when done.
