Green Beans with Bacon & Caramelized Onions

Ingredients

  • fresh green beans
  • bacon
  • red onion cut into strips
  • salt & pepper

Instructions

  • Cook your bacon until crispy in a skillet. Drain on a paper towel. Drain some of the grease, leaving 2 tablespoons in the skillet.
  • Steam the green beans for about 6 minutes, or desired tenderness.
  • Add the sliced red onion to the hot bacon grease. Saute until caramelized. Stir in green beans. Cook for 2 more minutes, stirring often. Season with salt & pepper.
