Start by adding your softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt to a mixing bowl. Mix on high until well combined.
Cut your rolls in half, and spread half of the mixture on the bottom half. Add your tops back on and cover with the remaining half of the mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, let cool until they are just warm.
While they are cooling add your ½ cup of butter to a bowl, and beat with a mixer until smooth.
Alternate a cup of powdered sugar and some heavy cream, mixing continuously until all your powdered sugar is incorporated. Mix on high until smooth. Add in vanilla and mix once more. You can add additional heavy cream if you like a thinner glaze. Add a tablespoon at a time.
Spread mixture over cinnamon rolls and slice. Serve and enjoy! Cinnamon rolls made easy!
