Crockpot Shredded Beer Chicken
This Crockpot Shredded Beer Chicken is a delicious all purpose recipe for all your shredded chicken needs. It also makes a delicious sandwich or burrito.
Simple recipes with little prep that are budget friendly but also delicious are kinda my jam. It’s what I’m known for.
Today’s recipe is certainly no exception.
My Crockpot Beer Shredded Chicken is super easy to make and is mouth-watering good. Not a beer fan? Don’t worry, the alcohol cooks out of this but if you don’t want to use it – just replace it with chicken broth and it will still be really good!
How do you serve Crockpot Beer Shredded Chicken?
My favorite way is on a bun! It makes the best sandwich! It also makes a delicious burrito. Anything that you’d use shredded chicken with – it will also be super yummy with this recipe.
What ingredients do I need to make this recipe?

- 2-3 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 medium to large onion, sliced in half rings
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprikaÂ
- 2 tablespoons brown sugarÂ
- 6oz chicken broth
- 8oz of your favorite beer (I used ‘Family Recipe’ beer)
How do I prepare this recipe for Crockpot Beer Shredded Chicken?
Place the sliced onion into the bottom of your crockpot. Â Top the onions with the boneless skinless chicken breasts.
Pour over the chicken broth, followed buy the beer – or more chicken broth if that’s what you’re using.
Mix the seasonings together in a bowl and then sprinkle them over the chicken breasts, pressing the seasoning down into the chicken to adhere better.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
Shred chicken and then let it cook in the juices in the crockpot on low for 30 minutes to an hour before serving.

These look soooo good!! Total summer food bliss. I am lusting after that spread with the pickles and coleslaw. Gotta happen soon!
Great recipe! It shredded so easily and tasted great. Plus, I am so happy to have the extra shredded chicken that I can pull out of the freezer anytime.
Recipe said to add dukes mayonnaise. But I don’t know when where and how much.
No, it doesn’t call for any mayo. I used a beer that had Dukes Mayo artwork on it.
