Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Energy Bites (just 3 ingredients!)
These Dark Chocolate Energy Bites contain everything you need to give you that pickup you need – and they’re only 3 ingredients & super simple to make!
I’m so over those energy drink fads. I’m all over foods to give you energy though – something that can get you through that mid-day lull, that even your kids can enjoy to help them get through their long day at school. Something that doesn’t rely on high levels of caffeine to get you hyped up into what you think is energy.
So, I rely on foods that give you natural energy. Making my own energy bites are the perfect solution for that. They’re great for this Mama to eat to get her through a long day – and they’re perfect to send along with your kids to school or to bring along to their after school activities.
I created these easy, delicious energy bites with just 3 ingredients – and I kid you not, the finished product tastes just like a peanut butter cup… but with added crunch!
I use the CVS abound Sunshine Edamame Blend for these because it already has all the key ingredients I want in it – plus it’s free of all artificial preservatives & flavorings. And hello – having one package (for under $3 I might add!) that contains everything I need saves me so much time! The edamame, pepitas, walnuts, & dried cranberries it contains are the perfect energy giving combination – and then when you pair it with peanut butter & dark chocolate, it just intensifies that even more!
These are so simple too! Pour the Berry Edamame Blend (available at any CVS store) into a bowl. Stir in 3/4 cup of peanut butter & 1 cup of melted dark chocolate chips.
Stir it all together, & drop by spoonfuls on wax paper. Let cool to set, and you’re all done.
While they’re setting up though, you may want to keep watch in case you have any sneaky kids hanging around.
Yeah, this little guy is totally guilty of sneaking one… or three. What can I say? Even the little ones love this one!
