Bloody 'Knife in the Eyeball' Cupcakes

I have got a really easy & super creepy Halloween cupcake idea for you today! These Bloody ‘Knife in the Eyeball’ Cupcakes are gonna be the hit of your next Halloween party – or any other Halloween festivity!

You all know that I’m not exactly ‘good’ at decorating cakes & cupcakes, so I’m continually looking for simple and creative ideas to decorate my baked treats with. These cupcakes definitely fit that bill. There is really no way to mess these up, and those are the kind of decorating recipes that I like best, haha. It’s Crystal-proof, so if I can do it – you most certainly can.

To make these creepy cupcakes, you will need:

  • chocolate frosting (make your own or use pre-made)
  • vanilla frosting dyed with red food coloring (or pre-made red decorators frosting)
  • gummy eyeballs – you want gummy eyeballs for this so that you can stick the knife in it without it breaking (I got mine from TreatStreet)
  • plastic cocktail swords
  • baked cupcakes of your choice (I used chocolate cake mix)

Assembling the Halloween cupcakes is super easy.

Frost your cupcakes with chocolate frosting. You can make your own (this is my favorite recipe) or you can buy it already made. Pipe a little red frosting on the top of the cupcake. Stick a plastic cheese sword about 1/4 to halfway through the gummy eyeball & put it on top of the red frosting.

That’s it! Simple as can be 🙂
