Turkey Pizza – as in it LOOKS like a Turkey!

We make this super cute turkey themed pizza every year for the day before Thanksgiving. It’s easy, tasty, & most of all – ADORABLE!

Gobble Gobble.

Yep, it’s that time of year.  Time to get up at 3am to begin cooking a meal big enough for feeding 30 – when in actuality, you are only serving 6.  You know you’ve done it.  That’s part of the beauty of Thanksgiving.  Wearing elastic pants, and eating til you just can’t eat anymore… take a nap, then eat some more.  And repeat that for about 3 days, or until all your leftovers are gone 😉

Well, how about making a super easy pre-Thanksgiving dinner that you don’t have to get up before the rooster crows to make?  One that even the kids could whip up in a pinch.  This Turkey Pizza is all that & more.  Easy, tasty, and downright adorable!

Here’s what you need (plus the pizza sauce because somehow I forgot to include it in the picture):

Turkey Pizza

You could easily make your own pizza crust, but I’m going the simplicity route here with the pre-made one. Spread on your sauce & sprinkle on your cheese just like you normally would.  Heck, you could even use a frozen pepperoni pizza if you want and rearrange the pepperoni & add the peppers & olive pieces onto it to make your turkey.  Whatever floats your boat!

Slice up your red & yellow bell peppers into rings.

Use my pictures as a diagram for laying out the pepperoni,  salami, peppers, & black olive pieces.

The salami makes the turkey’s body & a piece of pepperoni makes the head.  The eyes are made of small pieces of a black olive.  The beak, legs, & feet are made from a yellow pepper cut accordingly.  And, the red & yellow peppers are cut into strips to form the peppers, along with circular rows of pepperoni.
