- 3 pounds red potatoes, washed – sliced thin (skin on)
- 7 ounces Gouda cheese, shredded & divided
- half a stick of butter
- 8-10 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1.5 cups heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
