Fresh Peach Slaw
This Fresh Peach Slaw is a delicious light & refreshing Summer side. All you need is 4 ingredients plus salt and pepper too – easy peasy!
Something about the summertime has me really craving some peaches. They are just so good this time of year! Since I live in Georgia, peaches are very prevalent during the summer too. I love driving down to my favorite farm stand and picking some up. Ok, so maybe I don’t like the whole having to drive there part but I do love the peaches that I get, haha.
Peaches are good in all sorts of dishes, especially dessert. Yeah, I may have a little sweet tooth. 😉 But have you ever tried fresh peaches in something savory – such as slaw? Oh, it’s so good y’all!
This Peach Slaw recipe is the perfect summer side dish. Just bring it to a cookout/picnic and listen to everyone rave!
It’s all sort of delicious, super refreshing and light, & VERY simple to make.
Start with your fresh peaches. Slice them into thin strips. You can peel them if you want, but I happen to like the fuzzy skin of a ripe peach. Whatever is your preference, either works.
Place 3 cups of pre-made bagged coleslaw into a bowl along with the peaches.
Mix in:
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 tablespoons sugar (or replace the sugar with honey)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Toss the slaw well. Keep in the fridge until ready to serve. It tastes best after the flavors have been allowed to marry in the refrigerator for an hour or two.
