So many of y’all have asked me if I was going to do another Whole30 ever since I completed the one in January with such great results. If you remember, it was the start of my weight loss journey and I lost 13 pounds during that Whole30 reset.

Needless to say, I was pretty impressed. Not only did I have a great amount of weight loss, but I saw drastic improvements in other areas. My energy, for one, was wonderful. I felt really great! My skin was all glowy and my hair was shinier. Even my nails grew faster. It had a positive impact mentally too I feel like. All around, it did great things for me.

After Whole30, I continued to lose weight & am proud to say that I have now lost a total of 45 pounds!

I also went from a size 16 to a size 6. Clothes shopping is actually fun again instead of a depressing chore.

I owe a lot of this to the Whole30 because it really did ‘reset’ my body and it changed my eating habits for the better. After I completed the January reset, I continued to go without sugar in my coffee after my January reset. I used to put a few teaspoons in each cup, but since the 30 days without it – it tastes way too sweet now to have it. I also have only had 3 sodas since I ended my first Whole30 (they were treats too!), and this is coming from a girl who would drink 2-4 servings of Coke Zero a day.

You may wonder, since I’ve lost all this weight & in a size 6 pant – why on earth are you doing another Whole30? Well, there’s actually a few answers to that question.

My health is one. I began dealing with some health issues recently & I’m hoping that a Whole30 will have a positive impact on them. Another is the holidays are fast approaching & while I haven’t gone back to the same eating habits – I have noticed that my snacking is starting to get out of hand again and Whole30 did a great job of me curbing that for quite a while. And actually, I would like to lose a few more pounds – there are a few still hanging around. Nothing that really bothers me, but it would be nice to get rid of those last few.

With all the holidays fast approaching, a #SeptemberWhole30 seemed like the perfect way to reset before all the holiday treats started rearing their heads again! And it seems like the Whole30 website is starting a September one too, so there should be a whole mess of folks doing this together.

I’m personally starting my Whole30 reset on Saturday, September 1st but the Whole30 website is starting theres on Monday, September 3 (Labor Day) and I know a few folks starting it on September 4 so it doesn’t change their traditional Labor Day menu.

Whether you start on the 1st or the 4th, the important part is that you START!

So, who’s with me on this?
