Add the Cabbage: Stir in the sliced cabbage, chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, and salt. Mix everything until the cabbage mixture is well combined. It may look like a lot of cabbage at first time, but don’t worry, it will cook down quite a bit.

Let It Simmer: Reduce the heat a little, cover the pot, and let everything cook for about 30 minutes. Give it a stir every now and then during the cooking process. The goal is soft, tender cabbage that has soaked up all the flavors. If the mixture starts looking dry, add a splash of water or more chicken broth.

Cook the Noodles: While the cabbage is cooking, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook the wide egg noodles according to the package directions or package instructions until they’re al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain the cooked noodles well.

Mix It Together: Once the cabbage is nice and tender, stir the cooked noodles into the cooked cabbage mixture and fry them up. Mix everything together until the noodles are coated. If you love buttery noodles, stir in a little melted butter.
