You know what one thing I could never ever do – like ever?

Go on a low-carb diet.  It just won’t happen.  I will not do it.  I just won’t. Bread, pasta, potatoes – that contains like 75% of the best tasting food. Why on earth would I ever want to give that up?

Homemade breads fall right up there at the very tip top of my favorite carb list. Actually it pretty much ties for first place with a big bowl of loaded mashed potatoes. But, there are few things that I like more than a piece of bread straight from the oven with a little smidgen of butter.  It doesn’t get much better than that, people.

This recipe is by far one of my favorite bread recipes, & I’m so excited to be sharing it with you all today.

It’s quite easy to make, you don’t have to use yeast in this recipe, so there’s no time lost by having to let it rise.  It’s simply just mix & bake. And it’s so good.  So, so good!

Here’s what you need:

Cheesy Herb Buttermilk Bread

Mix together 2-1/4 self rising flour, 1 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/3 cup minced fresh parsley, 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning, 2 tablespoons garlic powder, 5 ounces of shredded parmesan cheese, & 8 oz of shredded cheddar cheese.  Every once in a while, I’ll throw in some chopped sundried tomatoes in it & that’s really good too.

Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes. If the top starts to turn to brown, place a piece of foil on top of it until the bread is done.

Let cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes before slicing.
