Fried Bologna Pimento Cheese Chili Burger
A thick piece of fried bologna + Pimento Cheese + Chili + an all beef burger patty… It even comes with it’s own Southern accent 😉Â
Yes, you read that recipe title correctly.
Fried Bologna
Pimento Cheese
and Chili
on a BURGER!
This burger even comes complete with it’s own southern accent y’all. And in that deep southern drawl, it is singing love songs to me. It has that George Straight kinda twang & it’s all sorts of amazing.
It’s really not hard to make either. He looks complicated, but that’s just a front. All show. He’s a simple guy.
Sooooo – wanna make one?Â
Cook your burger patty do the doneness that you like best. I happen to like mine about medium well. I season ground chuck with garlic salt, pepper, & Worcestershire sauce. Make it as thick or as thin as you like. Personally, I like a nice thick burger. You can also opt to use a preformed burger too.
Top the burger with pimento cheese. As much (or as little) as you like. Add some lightly sautéed diced jalapenos if you like to spice it up a little. I happen to enjoy the extra heat.
Now, top that pimento cheese with a thick piece of fried bologna. Make sure you cut 4 small slits around the circumference of the bologna so that it doesn’t curl up when it’s frying.
I could be done now. I could put the bun on this and call it a day. But nope – not this girl.
It’s time for a layer of chili. You can use homemade or you can use your favorite store-bought version.
And some raw onion because… yum.
Top bun it.
EAT. But maybe grab some napkins… 😉
