Mason Jar Ice Cream

I still remember the first time we made Mason Jar Ice Cream at home. It was a hot summer afternoon, and the kids were begging for something cold and sweet.

I didn’t feel like pulling out the ice cream maker, but we did have a few mason jars sitting in the pantry.

We poured in the cream, added sugar, and let each person pick a flavor—vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry.

Then came the fun part—shaking the jars with all our might. The kids laughed and cheered as the mixture got thicker and heavier in their hands.

A couple of hours later, we opened the freezer and found the creamiest ice cream waiting on us. We grabbed our spoons and dug right in, eating straight from the jars.

Y’all are going to have so much fun with this one!

How to Store Leftovers

If you’ve got a little ice cream left, just pop the metal lids back on tight and keep the jars in the freezer. They’ll stay good for about a week.

When you’re ready to eat again, let the jar sit out on the counter for a few minutes or run the jar under a little warm water to help soften it up. That way your ice cream is scoopable and easy to enjoy all over again.
