I have a deliciously easy ‘dump and go’ crockpot dip recipe for you all today.  Bonus points – it has just 5 ingredients!

It’s like cheesy buffalo wings and ranch – but dip-able. And it’s pretty darn amazing.

What do I need to make it?

Like I just said, it’s only 5 ingredients… so simple as can be! You may even have everything you need on hand to make it now.

Here’s the cast of ingredients:

  • 4 cups shredded cooked chicken (I use a rotisserie chicken)
  • 3/4 cups Frank’s red hot sauce (or your favorite buffalo sauce or hot sauce)
  • 1 cup ranch dressing ranch dressing
  • 8oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Basically, you just stir all the ingredient together and put it in your crockpot! After it is done cooking, add the remaining shredded cheese (1 cup), cover, and cook for a couple more minutes until the cheese has melted.

How long does it cook for?

In the crockpot, it cooks on low for 3-4 hours – stirring every 30 minutes. On low, it cooks for 1-2 hours stirring every 30 minutes.

Alternatively, can this be cooked on the stovetop or in the oven?

Yes!! On the stovetop, combine all the ingredients and heat until hot on low heat. This can also be made in the oven on 400 degrees for about 20 minutes, or until hot – adding 1 cup of the cheese on top of the dish halfway through cooking.

What do I serve with the Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Dip?

I like to serve mine with scoopable corn chips or with tortilla chips. Celery is also good, and so is a warm toasted baguette cut into slices.

It also makes a delicious quesadilla or topping to a flatbread!

Cheesy Crockpot Buffalo Ranch Dip

Ingredients

  • 4 cups shredded chicken
  • 3/4 cup Frank's red hot sauce or your favorite buffalo sauce or buffalo sauce
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients except for 1 cup of the cheddar cheese. Place in the crockpot. Cook on low for 3-4 hours, stirring every 30 minutes or on high for 1-2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cup of cheddar cheese over the dip once it's done cooking, cover, and allow the cheese to melt - about 5 minutes.
